Against Violence International Cartoon Exhibition - Egypt 2010

1. The Federation of Cartoonists Organizations (FECO group of Egypt) – Pharaohs Magazine invites you to Participate and take a part at the Against Violence International Cartoon Exhibition.

2. We address to all the professional and amateur cartoonists regardless their age from all over the world.

3. Theme: Against VIOLENCE .. Violence in sport .. Sporting Spirit .. Fair Play. (Egyptian soccer fans were attacked by their Algerian counterparts following the two countries' playoff match in Sudan in the 2010 World Cup qualifications)

4. The number of cartoons: Unlimited.

5. Artwork format should be JPEG, A4 size and 300 dpi as resolution.
*** (Please do not send ZIP or RAR Format).

6. Please attached a short biography in a word document (surname and first name, address, e-mail address and a photo).

7. Honorable Certificates for all the participants.

8. The cartoons must be sent at the e-mail address:

9. The cartoons will be published in the web pages:
www.effatcartoon.com and through Pharaohs Magazine January 2010 special issue.

معرض الكاركاتير الدولي "ضدالعنف" -- مصر 2010


إتحاد منظمات رسامي الكاريكاتير (فيكو مصر) بالتعاون مع مجلة الفراعنة تدعوكم للمشاركة في معرض الكاركاتير الدولي "ضدالعنف".

المشاركة مفتوحه لرسامي الكاريكاتير من جميع أنحاء العالم المحترفين والهواة بغض النظر عن أعمارهم أو جنسيتهم .
موضوع المعرض : مناهضة العنف.. العنف في الرياضة.. الروح الرياضية.. اللعب النظيف. ( مشجعي كرة القدم المصريين تعرضوا لهجوم من قبل نظرائهم الجزائريين عقب المباراة فاصلة بين البلدين في السودان في تصفيات كأس العالم لعام 2010)

عدد الرسوم الكاريكاتورية المشاركة : غير محدود.

ويرجى الإلتزام بالموصفات والصيغه المطلوبه

7. سيتم إرسال شهادات تكريم لجميع المشاركين.

سكرتون كارتون ..
أسم يحمل بين طياته معني لطيف جدا ..
حيث أن السكرتون باللهجة الشامية السورية يعني خزانة أو صندوق الملابس أي "الدولاب" باللهجة المصرية المتداولة .. الدولاب الذي نحفظ به ما يسترنا وما نخاف عليه وما نريد أن نحافظ علية .. والمخزى هنا ليس الكاريكاتير فقط بل الود والإخاء بين شعبين جمع بينهم التاريخ والعروبة وكانا يوما وطن واحد .. وما نحافظ عليه اليوم عبر هذا "الدولاب" أو المعرض هو التأخي والود بين فناني الوطن الواحد .. الوطن الأكبر



Skrton Cartoon ..
Name carries a deep meaning where "AlSkrton" in the Syrian Shami accent means a cabinet or box of clothing, or "Al-Doulab" with an Egyptian accent ..

"AlSkrton", where we keep our clothes, our Valuable Stuff..
The significance here is not only cartoon art, but it's the friendship and fraternity between two peoples brought together by history and Arabism, and one day were ONE NATION.

And preserve it today through the "Skrton" or this exhibition is the brotherhood and friendship between the artists of the same country .. Egypt and Syria.
